Truly an amazing design!!. Ground+4 floor structure with admin and gallery in GF, Class rooms and arts rooms in upper floors with a large canteen with pantry at the top with jack arch roof. Large glazed windows on two shorter sides with louvres to let in ample light and bamboo themed GFRC wall cladding with neatly placed ventilators on the longer sides which reduces heat and ensures a comfortable ambience inside to enhance learning experience. Floor slabs are form face finished concrete slabs with pine wood texture with grains and knots on the underside. This was achieved by fixing actual pine wood slats over centering and pouring concrete over it to duplicate the wooden grains and knots on the concrete surface in contact with pine wood. Canteen on the fourth floor has a jack arch roof with concrete jack arch blocks cast to shpe at site and fixed tightly to required arch profile to form a jack arch. Ventilator openings were framed with cast in situ concrete box frames (Form face finish) made to required size and shape . Side masonry on east and west sides are double skin block masonry with thermal insulation in between to cut transmission of heat inside the classrooms. Stainless steel spiral staircase connects the top floor with the rest of the structure. GFRC panels were cast with bamboo moulds to get the texture of bamboo and was fixed on the external facade. A very challenging work in every sense with multiple vendors putting in their best effort to make this a unique and unparalleled structure.
