Project Description:

This project is a sprawling 17,000 sq.ft bungalow situated on a one-acre plot along the scenic East Coast Road (ECR), just a short distance from the beach. Designed by Architect Mr. T. Chandran of CTC Designers, the residence stands out for its distinctive and unconventional architectural layout.

What makes this home truly unique is the geometric configuration of its spaces—most of the rooms are designed in pentagon or hexagon shapes, crowned with elegant sloped (hip) roofs. Expansive windows throughout the structure open to lush, landscaped gardens, bringing in natural light and offering uninterrupted views of the surrounding greenery.

The roof is clad in blue-glazed Mangalore tiles, chosen to mirror the clear coastal sky, adding a striking visual identity to the structure. Premium granite and Italian marble have been extensively used for flooring and wall cladding, reinforcing the luxurious character of the home.

Externally, the dressed granite and grit-wash finish on the walls not only enhances aesthetic appeal but also offers a maintenance-free, weather-resistant envelope—perfectly suited for the coastal environment.

This bungalow is a fine example of architectural individuality, coastal harmony, and enduring material choices, resulting in a timeless and elegant residence.
